Today’s ORSP is the Chicago White Sox.  Always an interesting team to watch, especially with Ozzie calling the shots.

Biggest Additions: Adam Dunn, Jesse Crain, Lastings Milledge, Will Ohman

Biggest Subtractions: Bobby Jenks, J.J. Putz, Mark Kotsay, Manny Ramirez, Andruw Jones

Offseason Review: Let’s see, they replaced Manny Ramirez/Andruw Jones at DH with Adam Dunn – big upgrade.  The lost Jenks and Putz from the back-end of the bullpen – big downgrade.  The return of Konerko and Pierzynski should keep the clubhouse intact during a season that may miss some of the normal off the field turmoil that usually happens.

Season Preview:  With the Twins staying relatively stagnant this offseason, the improvement that the Sox made are probably going to be enough to get them back into the postseason.  In fact, that’s what I’m going to say.  I think they White Sox are going to finish just a nose ahead of the Tigers and Twins in what may end up being the most hotly contested division in all of baseball.  You may be seeing a 163 game season in the works for the Southsiders.

Final Record: 90-72, 1st place in AL Central
