Today, we’re looking at the Milwaukee Brewers, who probably did more to improve than any other team in the NL Central.  But, was it enough?

Biggest Additions: Zack Greinke, Shaun Marcum, Takashi Saito, Yuniesky Betancourt, Sean Green

Biggest Subtractions: Alcides Escobar, David Bush, Carlos Villanueva, Trevor Hoffman, Chris Capuano, Doug David, Todd Coffey

Offseason Review: The biggest problem the Brewers had last season was their pitching.  It was pretty bad.  How bad?  Only the Pirates had a worse team ERA in the National League.  Well, they addressed it in a big way – by trading for both Zack Greinke and Shaun Marcum, major upgrades in the pitching department.  They’re offense is going to be just as potent as in years past as well.

Season Preview: The Brewers are going to be the most improved team from the Central this year.  Unfortunately for them, they aren’t quite going to be improved enough.  They are going to be in the hunt for the Wild Card, and I think they’ll come away with it.

Final Record: 88-74, 2nd in NL Central, Wild Card winner
